More information:

Pontoon is the English version of classic blackjack also known as twenty one. Pontoon can be played by only two players but usually, there are between 5 and 8 players around the game table. A deck of 52 cards is often used but casinos are now increasing the number of cards in the shoe of the table.

Like in blackjack, to win you need to have a higher hand than the dealer without exceeding 21. To determine the value of your game, you need to calculate the sum of your hand, an aces equals 1 or 11, the 10 value cards and the others their nominal values.

There are two particular hands: one called pontoon equals 21 points, it is composed of 2 cards. It is the strongest hand. The following hand equals 21 or less but it is composed of 5 cards. Then, comes the other hands.

As soon as a hand exceeds 21, you lose the hand. When the player and dealer have a hand with the same value, the dealer wins the round.

There is a slight difference with blackjack. In fact, no card of the dealer is returned before it is his turn to play. A player can stop only when his game equals at least 15. Finally after having doubled you may draw as many cards as you want.
